Eleanor is a Government registered Cultural Gifts Valuer.
She has worked on many collections throughout Australia. From 18th century dress to modern Dior, Eleanor works with a diverse range of fashion and textiles. Along with valuations for Cultural Gifts she has completed appraisals prior collection purchases, as well as insurance and asset valuations.

Fashion Judge.
Eleanor had the great pleasure of judging the Best Dressed Competition at the 2021 Valentines Art Deco Picnic.
She was also a Judge for the Love Vintage Fair, Best Dressed in 2013.

Bonhams Auctions UK. Eleanor headed the Fashion and Textile Department for Bonhams between early 2007 to the end of 2009, where she was exposed to a wide range of items, and found a new appreciation for early needlework and lace. She has worked with many Australian Auction houses over the years, as an advisor/contractor on related sales.

Cataloguing and Dating Paintings. Eleanor has assisted Auction houses, with accurately describing and dating garments in historic portraits.
An early 19th century lady, dressed in the neoclassical fashions of the time, in a white empire-line gown, with low broad neckline exposing much of the shoulders and small capped sleeves. Her hair is pinned up, with ringlet curls around the face, her long neck is emphasised by a thin stand of coral beads. She holds a dove grey shawl in her arms. c.1800-10s. Painting sold at Schapiro's Auctions Sydney 2022.
Teacher & Guest Speaker. Eleanor lectures in Fashion History and Culture to both the Fashion Design Degree and Diploma Students at FDS Tafe, Ultimo. She's always happy to share her knowledge and has given many guest lectures on topics from 17th century needlework to Wartime fashion.

Writer. Eleanor has been writing articles on fashion related items for over 15 years. For Antique, Collectable and Craft Magazines, and is a regular contributor to Vintage Made Magazine
Eleanor has been writing for Vintage Made Magazine since its concept in 2013, and even spent a few years Editing part of the magazine!
